According to official reports, over 75% of defence capital procurement during this period came from Indian companies. The acquisitions included advanced artillery systems, armoured vehicles, radars, drones, and naval equipment, developed through collaborations between the Indian Armed Forces and domestic defence firms.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted that the move reflects India’s growing capability to design, develop, and produce world-class defence technologies. He emphasized that the government’s goal is to make India not just self-reliant but also a global exporter of defence equipment in the coming decade.
